As far as I know, June 17 has come and gone with no strange things happening that I am aware of...

June 17.  For some reason, I have had that date in my head for months..

Why?  I have no idea..  Could it mean something or nothing...  I've never had some date get into my head before.  So, I don't know whether to discard it, or be very afraid or happy or what...

I guess day after tomorrow, I'll find out...

My daughter made it home safely!  At least this young woman says she's my daughter?!  She has different hair length, color, style, eyebrows... hmmm.

I will have to interrogate her at length to determine her true identity!
Crucial clues have thus been, does she respond to her nicknames; booger, wiener, and the Mikguana.

Practice, practice, practice..

My hand and forearm are swollen and killing me. When playing bar chords, I'm real bad about not keeping my index finger at the proper "roll". That makes me have to brute force the chord.

My daughter's husband is either sick or tired or something.. I really had to take care of the baby more than usual today. Fortunately, the little guy really seems to like me. I think he can tell I really love him. We had quite a bit of fun having conversations in some unknown language. He is remarkably well behaved for a two year old.

My daughter, M, is due back from KC tomorrow morning.. I pray her trip is safe!

Can cooking. I made a mix of mac, pork n beans, and hotdogs.. Its a little bland. But, my very kind penpal encouraged me to eat more.. I have lost about 20lbs since my wife died. This dish should pack some punch..

My hobby seems to be collecting, bands, and musicians as friends on MySpace... I had a group I never heard of make a friend req today. The Vanguard. I think they are really good! I think that if they want to, they'll be around for quite a while...

My daughter, M,  finally made to KC.

She is going for a wake for her mother. 

She had to take Greyhound.  As always, Greyhound wasn't able to keep their schedule...  She arrived 10 hours late.  She missed the wake...

She tried very hard to get someone in KC to come down to Joplin, (about a 3 or 4 hour drive from KC), and get her.  But, her cousin, E,  who was willing wasn't able.  Those able weren't willing.  So she missed it.

There is only one thing that really angers me.  Her half sister, C, lives in KC.  C, at first told M to go ahead and get off the bus, that she would come and get her.  C later changed her mind, and didn't follow through.   

Thankfully, she has made it safely.  That makes me so happy ! She and her cousin are going to get to just visit!  I hope they have an awesome time!

I'm here, no trip after all.:-)

Looks like I might have to be out of town for a few days.

Being online really helps me feel like I not quite so alone...

I guess this is a, "why am I here" letter.

Well, I here to meet some nice people, hopefully, that I can be email/pals with.   I hope to learn from them and share my experiences with them. I hope that together we can help make each others lives a bit easier.

I think this is about writing my "memoirs" as much as anything.  I have just been a normal person, living a family life.   But, through those experiences I have seen and felt so much.
